About
I work primarily in traditional mediums using Celtic and Medieval
themes. My recent work is inspired by Medieval illuminated
manuscripts, Japanese woodblock prints, Art Nouveau (particularly
Aubrey Vincent Beardsley), and Native American art.
I recently stumbled upon pyrography and realised that it was a
perfect match to my designs. I love the character and earthy feel
that the wood adds to my work. The fact that my finished pieces can
be used either as decorative art or as functional items also appeals
to me. I hope to add wood turning to my skills soon.
